This young woman was selling herbs at a road-side stand near the Burmese border in western Thailand. She is from the Hills Tribes who live as refugees in Thailand as members of groups such as Ahka and Padahng. I believe that she is Ahka, but her beaming pride for her son needs no labels or nationality.
