This fellow was quite an animated character. I like his smile more than other aspects of the photo. The odd color cast is due to the fact that he was standing beneath a blue plastic tarp in a fresh seafood market at Ban Pae, Thailand. He was one of the workers there.

That’s just a terry-cloth towel on his head because it was so bleedin’ hot – it’s not a headdress (he is Buddhist and doesn’t wear a formal headdress). I told him that I wanted his photo because of his "beautiful hat" and that seemed to make him happy.
